The library has 40,000 registered borrowers. If you don't have a library card yet, take a few minutes and fill out the application at the checkout desk or online. In most cases, we can issue you a card right on the spot!
No card fee is assessed for residents of Grand Island and Hall County. There are no age limits. Applicants for library cards must present identification and proof of residence. Applications for children under the age of 14 must be signed by a parent or guardian. Please notify the library immediately if your card is lost, stolen or your name, address or contact information changes.
The replacement fee for a lost library card is $1.00.
Non-Resident Cards
An annual $40.00 household nonresident fee (or $10 for three months) is charged to those residing outside of Hall County, with the exception of statewide reciprocal borrowing NebrasKard program patrons.
